Ownership and Management

Journal Ownership and Publisher

Jurnal Manajemen Transportasi & Logistik (JMTRANSLOG), also known as the Journal of Transportation and Logistics Management, is a scientific journal published by the Graduate Program in Transportation Management, Institut Transportasi dan Logistik Trisakti, Indonesia.

The journal is managed within the institutional framework of Institut Transportasi dan Logistik Trisakti. Its publication activities support the institution's commitment to academic development, scientific research, and the dissemination of scholarly knowledge in transportation and logistics management.

Journal Management Structure

The management of JMTRANSLOG involves the publisher, the Editor-in-Chief, the editorial board, reviewers, and other editorial personnel who contribute to the journal's operation and publication process.

The publisher provides institutional support for journal management and publication. The Editor-in-Chief and editorial team are responsible for managing the editorial workflow, coordinating manuscript evaluation, selecting appropriate reviewers, communicating editorial decisions, and ensuring that published articles meet the journal's scientific and publication standards.

The editorial board supports the journal's academic development and contributes to maintaining the quality, relevance, and integrity of its published content. Reviewers provide independent scholarly assessments to assist editors in evaluating the scientific quality of submitted manuscripts.

Editorial Independence

JMTRANSLOG upholds editorial independence in manuscript assessment and publication decisions. Decisions must be based on the scientific merit, originality, methodological quality, relevance, ethical compliance, and clarity of the submitted work.

The publisher and other parties must not improperly influence editorial decisions for commercial, institutional, personal, or political reasons. The Editor-in-Chief and authorized editors retain responsibility for editorial decisions in accordance with the journal's policies and procedures.

Editors must disclose relevant competing interests and avoid handling manuscripts when their impartiality may reasonably be questioned. When necessary, a manuscript should be reassigned to an independent editor to protect the fairness and credibility of the editorial process.

Editorial and Peer-Review Responsibilities

The editorial team is responsible for conducting initial manuscript screening, determining whether submissions are suitable for further evaluation, coordinating the peer-review process, assessing reviewer recommendations, and communicating decisions to authors.

JMTRANSLOG applies a blind peer-review process, as stated in the journal's published description. Editors must ensure that manuscripts are evaluated fairly and that reviewer selection is appropriate to the subject matter and expertise required.

Editors may make language, formatting, and editorial corrections that improve clarity and consistency without changing the substantive meaning of a manuscript. Changes that could affect the interpretation, findings, or conclusions must be handled appropriately, including consultation with the authors when necessary.

Confidentiality and Professional Conduct

Editors, reviewers, and journal personnel must maintain the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts, unpublished research findings, reviewer reports, and editorial correspondence. Information obtained through editorial work must not be used for personal, professional, or commercial advantage.

All individuals involved in journal management are expected to act professionally, disclose relevant competing interests, and protect the integrity of the editorial and publication process.

Publication Ethics and Research Integrity

JMTRANSLOG is committed to maintaining ethical standards in scholarly publishing. The journal expects authors to report their research honestly, acknowledge relevant sources, disclose competing interests, and comply with applicable ethical requirements.

When credible concerns arise regarding plagiarism, data fabrication, data falsification, duplicate publication, authorship disputes, peer-review manipulation, or other forms of research or publication misconduct, the editorial team will assess the available information and take appropriate action.

Depending on the circumstances, editorial action may include requesting clarification, obtaining supporting documentation, rejecting a manuscript, publishing a correction, issuing an expression of concern, or retracting an article when warranted.

Open Access and Publication Transparency

JMTRANSLOG is registered as an open-access journal. The journal is committed to making its published scholarly content accessible in accordance with the applicable copyright, licensing, and reuse conditions stated on its website.

Information concerning journal ownership, publisher, editorial board, editorial policies, peer-review procedures, publication frequency, author guidelines, and applicable publication charges should be presented transparently on the official journal website.
