Author Guidelines

When submitting article, a writer should pay attention to the following:

1)  The article should be within the scope of scientific journalism.

2)  The article is sent in Ms.Word format with the following conditions:

  • A4 paper (21 cm x 21,7cm) with the page margin; Left (3 cm), top (2,5 cm), Right (2,5 cm), and bottom (2 cm).
  • The number of script pages between 12-30 pages.
  • The script is written one column with Times New Roman font, except for the title of the article (Times New Roman).
  • The conjunctions (and, in, or with, as well, about, that, against, so, because, then, for the sake) and prepositions (in, to, from, in, to, within, by, through) are written in lowercase.

3) Articles are written with the following regulations.

Title (Times New Roman 16; capitalized each word and bold; 1 space). Avoid abbreviation.
  • Author Name (Times New Roman 11 and bold; 1 space).
  • Author Affiliation (Times New Roman 9 and bold; 1 space), contains the name of the institution / organization / workplace / country/ author’s place of study .
  • Correspondence (Times New Roman 9; 1 space), contains first author’s email address.
  • ABSTRACT and ABSTRACT (Times New Roman 12; all capital letters and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman 12; 1 space). The abstract consists of one short paragraph explaining the purpose, background of the problem, the research method, and the results of the study. Use a maximum of 200 words. So that quotations are not included in the abstract. paper components have been published [title, text, head, etc.] in the style sheet. Article abstract is written in two languages (English and Indonesian). For articles in Indonesian language, English language abstracts is placed on top of the Indonesian and vice versa. Do not use symbols, special characters, or math in paper title or abstract. avoid abbreviation.
  • Keywords (Times New Roman 12 and bold) and their contents (Times New Roman 12), keywords are written in English; with a number of 3-5 keywords. Keywords relevant to the research presented in the manuscript. For example, compression stenght; cost of sea transport; railways bridge; shipping; port; vessel size
  • Introduction (Times New Roman 12 and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman 12; 1,5 spaces).
  • Results and Discussion (Times New Roman 12 and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman 12; 1,5 spaces). Description and discussion of results should be made separately.

Must provide a description of the results and discussion needed to support the conclusions of this study. The results and discussion can be divided into several sub-sections, each with a brief subtitle.

  • Conclusion (Times New Roman 12 and bold) and its contents (Times New Roman 12; 1,5 spaces). Hasil ringkasan gunakan kata-kata dan bukan angka dan jelaskan sejauh mana tujuan penelitian dapat dicapai. Jangan sertakan informasi dariteori dan literatur, harus fokuslah pada kesimpulan utama penelitian.
  • References (Times New Roman 12 and bold) and reading sources (Times New Roman 12; 1,5 spaces). Source of citations or bibliography must be the same. Reference sources in the text are arranged according to the name-year system (APA system). The reference must use Mendeley's reference management software.

Conditions of writing style above have been imposed in the template of Jurnal Teknik Transportasi.


Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
